Background of the project:
China Meteorological Administration is responsible for the organization and management of national meteorological work. While as the competent department of weather system, China Meteorological Administration is not only responsible for administrating the financial work of general office and branch offices, but also monitoring the financial information of branch offices.

Several years ago, China Meteorological Administration had successfully applied financial accounting software, which basically completed the daily work like data collection, statistics and calculation. However, it is impossible for the system, which has not risen to the management accounting stage, to provide decisive information during the process of formulation, implementation and supervision of management system. Based on the above problem, China Meteorological Administration will improve its financial management mode by means of informatization.

Solutions and deployment:

In the financial management system, the use of IBM products laid solid foundation for the entire system; Red Flag 5.0 is chosen as the operating system, which has an excellent compatibility with hardware and can strongly guarantee the efficient operation of software, becoming a good link between hardware and software; UFIDA financial management software and Join-Cheer asset management software are used in this project too, which can fully satisfy the customers' requirements; Oracle 10g database is adopted, and at the same time, Red Flag HA 5.0 is also used to ensure the reliability and stability of key data; WebLogic 8.3, widely acclaimed in IT industry, is chosen as the middleware.
